John Knox Ballantine III, born April 4, 1954, in Panama Canal, Panama, was called to his eternal rest on October 19, 2007 at the age of 53. John is an alumnus of MacArthur High School, where he also played football. John was an avid hunter and fisherman, who lived a full life with no regrets - he experienced more than most people dream of. John is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Ballantine; parents, Mary Jane Deaner and John Knox Ballantine, II; granddaughter, Jordan Rayleen Burleson; sisters, Darlene Maynard and Nancy Ballentine; brother, Daryn Ballantine; and best friend and business associate, Tracy Shraim.
