Retired this year (2025) and got rehired part time at Palo Alto College.

Been teaching in and around southern Bexar County for 34 years.
School Story

First day of senior English class. Mrs. Polk told us to read the story, "Ski-in" (her pronunciation). Some one said there was no story named "Skiing in the book." She returned with, "Not Ski-in', Ski-en, S, K, I, N. Ski-en." She had a very thick Georgia accent. We had fun that year in class.

I officially retired from full time and am currently going through the rehiring process to be an adjunct professor.
I will always be in the classroom until I can't or they make me quit. Had some health issues that have made step away from full time.
Lived in Alamo Heights ISD when we moved back to town in 1990. Moved near the medical center once the kids were out of school (college).. Been thinking about people from Mac more often...

My family used to summer vacation in Pagosa. Lovely town. We used to visit the Rainbow all the time. Brenda and her husband... can't remember his name. TALL. Fond memories of the place. Dad belonged to a group who bought a some land up there. They sold it to a real estate development company. Miss going there.
