Betty Littrell

Since college, I've traveled a lot, lived in many places, and returned to Austin in the late 80s. From the beginning of the tech boom, I've worked as a writer and project manager in the computer field - an unexpected career that brought me many dear friends and allowed me to travel to fun places and put our daughter through college. After a few false starts, I like to say that I finally married someone who is nicer than me. We have one sweet, beautiful daughter who is the photography curator at Vassar College’s Frances Lehman Loeb Art Center. We retired in 2020, sold our Austin house of 30 years in 2021, and currently live in the beautiful Hudson River Valley near our daughter and her wife. We feel so fortunate to have a next chapter and we are thrilled to be so close to our family.

I always say that although no one's adolescence is ideal, I feel fortunate I attended MacArthur H.S. Most everyone was kind and smart and funny. I made wonderful lifelong friends who, like most our high school classmates, are all different from me but so supportive and respectful of each other's lives. Not everyone can say that about high school and beyond. It was a special time.

Unfortunately, I am unable to attend the MAC 50th (EEEK!) high school reunion. If you are going, I hope you have a great time. Thanks to Kay and any other classmates who do such a fantastic job maintaining this website and organizing these special events. I wish anyone reading this much happiness!
